Electro (short for electro-funk) is a distinct genre of electronic
music and early hip-hop that emerged in the early 1980s, like Afrika B
ambaataa "Planet Rock". Breakbeat-driven, funk-infused genre.

    * Drum Machine: Built around the iconic Roland TR-808 drum
machine, using syncopated beats and sharp electronic percussion.
    * Rhythm: Features a robotic backbeat rather than a steady
four-to-the-floor kick drum (which defines house and techno).
    * Bass & Synths: Uses heavy analog synthesizer basslines,
futuristic sci-fi sound effects, and funky grooves. Vocals:
    * Often instrumental, or features robotic/deadpan vocals processed
      through a vocoder or talkbox.
